The Creator of all that you see, the All-Knowing, the All-Powerful, Almighty Allah always wants to reward His servants, even for the tiniest of deeds. And the rewards are not small, they are in one word- HUGE! But unfortunately, we Muslims, often giving the excuse of busy lives, miss out on these wonderful offers made by Allah Almighty to increase the weight of our good deeds. Remember, Islam is easy and these small deeds that are highly rewarded can be easily performed without hampering your worldly works. You just need to build the intention to perform them. There are many ways you can earn these rewards and for your convenience, ten easy deeds that have great prizes, have been listed below:

  1. You might be familiar with this Hadith already, “Smiling is Charity”. But, we find it difficult even to crack a smile before our brothers in society though it is one of the easiest things to do. We feel pride in showing attitude by frowning instead.

  2. Salaam is wishing someone peace. In fact it is the most wonderful greeting that exists in the world. And just greeting somebody with a Salaam can get you a lot of rewards. Here, again we are being misled by considering Hello and Hi enough to convey our concerned greetings towards our brethren.

  3. Allah Almighty is so kind and compassionate. That is why He Almighty grants us 10 rewards while reciting even a single letter of the Noble Quran. As, Alif Laam Meem are three letters and add 30 rewards to our account of good deeds.

  4. Guiding a Muslim towards goodness carries great reward, no matter the act seems too small or insignificant. Our beloved Holy Prophet (Peace be upon Him) said,

    “Whoever guides [another] to a good deed will get a reward similar to the one who performs it.” (Sahih Muslim).

    He (PBUH) also assured that

    “By Allah, if Allah were to guide one man through you it would be better for you than the best type of camels.” (Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim).

    So don't back off to share any good thing that you learn.

  5. We often visit our loved ones when they fall ill. Fortunately, even this is a rewarding deed. The Prophet (PBUH) said (interpretation of the meaning),

    “There is not a Muslim that visits another in the morning except that 70,000 angels ask forgiveness for him until the night, and if he visits him at night then 70,000 angels ask forgiveness for him until the morning, and he will have earned a garden in paradise” (At-Tirmidhi).

  6. Recitation of Holy Quran carries immense rewards unimaginable for us all. Do you know that even reciting Surah Ikhlas just three times holds reward equivalent to reciting the entire Holy Quran.

  7. Clearing out the common pathways from any hurdle or obstacle also guarantees huge rewards. Apparently, this seems a very little act but in the sight of Allah Almighty holds great importance by doing this you are paving an easy way for others.

  8. Allah’s Messenger (PBUH) said, “Whoever says

    ‘Subhaanallaahi wa bihamdihi’ (Glorified is Allah and praised is He) one hundred times a day, will have his sins forgiven even if they are like the foam of the sea.” (Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim).

    So, before you proceed on reading this article, don’t forget to recite this amazingly powerful dua to have your sins forgiven by the Most Merciful.

  9. Hunger is something difficult to control, for both rich and poor alike. But for a poor man who is fasting, it may be difficult to break his fast due to his inability to purchase. So, it is for the rich that the Prophet (PBUH) said,

    “Whoever provides food for breaking of the fast of a fasting person receives the reward of the fasting person, without the reward of the fasting person being reduced in any way”. (At-Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah)

  10. There are many duas that are easy to pronounce and are highly valued. One of them is reported by Abu Sa’id (Radi Allahu Anho) who said that the Prophet (PBUH) said,

    “Whoever says ‘Radeetu billahi rabban, Wa bil-Islaami deenan, Wa bi-Muhammadin Nabiyan’ Jannah becomes obligatory for him (to enter). (Abu-Dawood)

It is difficult to disagree that the above described actions are beyond our capabilities to perform. It is not for anyone else but for you and me. These deeds have wonderful and marvelous rewards.
