Quran, the miracle of Allah سبحانه و تعالى, the Holy Book that carries the speech of Allah سبحانه و تعالى and holds the guideline regarding every aspect of life.. This Holy book was revealed on our Prophet ﷺ by our Lord so that mankind take guidance from it for their lives. In this holy book, there are 114 Surahs and this book has been further classified into 30 chapters (Juzz). The very first surah is Surah Fatiha and the last one is Surah Naas. The biggest and longest surah is Surah Baqarah and the shortest one is Surah Kauser.
Reading of Quran is considered as one of the essential religious responsibilities of every Muslim. The first and foremost benefit of reading Quran is the fulfillment of an obligation. Thus all Muslims should read Quran everyday considering this to be a part of their religious practices. Quran reading is very beneficial for every Muslim. Recitation of Quran on regular basis raises the status of a person’s life because of the countless blessings of Allah سبحانه و تعالى and in this regard, there is a very beautiful Hadees.
Our beloved Prophet ﷺ stated that “Verily Allah سبحانه و تعالى raises some people by this book and lowers others by it.”
There is another Hadees described in Tirmizi which states that ten rewards are granted for reciting one letter from Quran. The daily Quran reading will help us to gain these countless rewards from Allah سبحانه و تعالى. Whoever Muslim memorizes the most of the Ayah will achieve the higher position in Paradise. The more a Muslim will be proficient in memorizing Quran, the more it will be easier for him to secure his place in heaven nearer to Allah سبحانه و تعالى.
The Messenger ﷺ of Allah سبحانه و تعالى said “The best of you is he who learns the Quran and teaches it.” (reported in Bukhari Shareef)
On one occasion the Messenger ﷺ of Allah سبحانه و تعالى said: “The Quran is an intercessor, something given permission to intercede, and it is rightfully believed in. Whoever puts it in front of him, it will lead him to Paradise; whoever puts it behind him, it will steer him to the Hellfire.” (Al Tabrani)
